The steam trap achieves automatic control through the response of an internal thermostatic element to temperature changes. When condensate or a low-temperature medium enters the valve body, the thermostatic element contracts, opening the valve and quickly expelling condensate and air. When high-temperature steam or superheated water arrives, the element expands due to heat, pushing the valve core to close and prevent leakage. As the medium temperature drops, the element contracts again, reopening the valve. This cycle requires no external power and is suitable for stable operation in superheated water and steam systems with large temperature fluctuations.
