Sanitary valve inspection, from bar stock to packed crate

Sanitary valve inspection here is a procedure, not a promise: every batch of material is read on our own spectrometers before it is machined, every valve is pressure tested before it ships, and at least 10% of a finished order is measured again before it is packed. What we cannot check, we do not claim — and what we supply carries a 3-year guarantee.

How we verify what we ship

Material, surface and pressure are all checked on equipment we own, in the factory that machined the part. Nothing is sent out for verification, so nothing is verified by someone with no stake in the result.

Material

3 spectrometers confirm the alloy before machining — our own reading, not a mill certificate passed along from a supplier.

Surface

Ra roughness is measured on our own instrument and recorded against the order, so the figure on your paperwork is measured rather than assumed.

Pressure

3 test centres. Every valve is tested, not sampled — and the report ships with the goods.

Certification

CE, PED, ISO 9001 and FDA-compliant materials, with an EN 10204 3.1 certificate on every order.

Stage by stage

What is checked, and when?

Three points in the making of a valve where it can be caught: the material before it is cut, the first article against your drawing, and the finished goods before they are packed. All of it on our own instruments, in the factory that machined the part.

Before anything is cut

Raw material

  • Every batch is checked for alloy on our own spectrometers. Anything that reads wrong is rejected rather than machined.
  • Castings and blanks are inspected for sand holes after machining and before polishing.
  • Carbon content and mechanical test reports are available on request, alongside the EN 10204 3.1 certificate that ships with the order.

Before a run starts

First article

  • Two samples off the new tooling are measured against your drawing.
  • The report goes to you before bulk production begins, so a dimension is argued about on paper rather than on a pallet.

Before anything is packed

Finished goods

  • Every valve is pressure tested and temperature tested. Not a sample from the batch — every one.
  • At least 10% of the finished quantity is re-checked for surface roughness, wall thickness, roundness, size and sand holes.
  • The quantity of each line is counted against the order before it is packed, so a short or wrong item is found here rather than by you.
  • Everything ships in packaging built to survive the journey, not to look tidy in a photograph.

What does the guarantee cover?

Joneng stands behind the stainless steel valves and fittings it supplies for 3 years. What that covers, and what it does not, is set out here rather than left for a dispute.

  • What is not Consumable parts — gaskets, caps and the like — which wear in service and are replaced as maintenance.
  • Tell us first Applications outside ordinary process duty: heavily alkaline media such as chilli production, or extreme cold such as −40 °C. Declare them with the enquiry and we will say what the material will stand before you order, rather than after.

If a batch is faulty

Once both sides agree a fault is the batch and not the handling, the quantity covered is not held to the ordinary terms. It is settled one of two ways.

  • We send replacement or repairable parts, and they are fitted where the goods are.
  • Where that cannot be done, even with our guidance, we agree what happens next — compensation, a fresh shipment, or the goods returned.

Questions about checking and guarantees

How much of an order is inspected?
Every valve is pressure tested and temperature tested — not a sample from the batch. On top of that, at least 10% of the finished quantity is re-checked for surface roughness, wall thickness, roundness, size and sand holes, and every line is counted against the order before it is packed.
What certificates and reports come with an order?
An EN 10204 3.1 material certificate ships with every order. Carbon content and mechanical test reports are available on request, and the first-article report for a new part is sent before bulk production starts.
How do you know the material is really 316L?
We read it ourselves. Every batch of incoming material is checked on our own stainless steel spectrometers before it is machined, rather than taken on a mill certificate passed along by a supplier. Anything that reads wrong is rejected.
