steam traps are available in balanced pressure type and capsule type, adaptable to different pressure ratings. Specifications cover various connection methods, and materials include SS304 and SS316. They feature quick start-up, good venting, corrosion resistance, energy saving, and stable operation.

The steam trap achieves automatic drainage through the difference between steam pressure and condensate flow. When condensate enters the valve body, the flow velocity and pressure push the valve plate open, expelling condensate and air from the pipe. When steam reaches the valve body, the high-speed steam creates pressure below the valve plate, causing it to close quickly and preventing steam leakage. The valve cycles between opening and closing periodically, achieving efficient drainage and steam energy saving. It is also compact, resistant to high temperatures and pressures, and suitable for steam tracing, heat exchangers, and industrial piping systems.

Constructed from high-quality stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability in high-temperature and high-pressure steam applications.
Thermodynamic disc design enables rapid response to condensate and steam flow, ensuring efficient condensate discharge while minimizing live steam loss.
Compact 3/4 inch design allows easy integration into standard steam lines with minimal space requirements.
Robust internal structure ensures reliable operation under fluctuating pressure and load conditions, reducing risk of water hammer.
Simple and durable mechanism reduces maintenance needs and ensures consistent, energy-efficient performance in industrial steam systems.

Armstrong stainless steel thermodynamic 3/4-inch steam traps are widely used in the chemical, paper, food processing, and pharmaceutical industries. For example, in the steam lines of chemical reactors, they are used to drain condensate, prevent water accumulation and water hammer, and ensure uniform steam heating in heat exchangers and heat tracing lines, thereby improving process efficiency and safety.
