The control valve functions as a throttling and regulating element in a process loop. Signals from a controller (DCS/PLC) are transmitted to its pneumatic, electric or electro-hydraulic actuator, which converts the control signal into mechanical displacement to drive the valve stem and trim assembly.
As the plug, ball or disc moves relative to the valve seat, it variably restricts the flow passage, dynamically adjusting flow rate, pressure, temperature or liquid level to match the set process parameter. A built-in positioner ensures accurate positioning and stable action, reducing hysteresis and overshoot.
Sealing components maintain tight shut‑off and prevent external leakage during operation, while the streamlined flow path reduces cavitation, noise and erosion. The valve continuously modulates its opening in real time to maintain stable process conditions under fluctuating inlet pressure or load demands.
